Home elevators, sometimes referred to as residential elevators, are elevators that are designed and manufactured specifically for use within a single private residence. They are considered a type of “Special Application Elevator”.

There are safety codes and standards which are published specifically to regulate this equipment. All home elevators manufactured by Garaventa Lift and installed by authorized Garaventa Lift representatives meet or exceed all local and national safety code requirements.

Garaventa types:

  • HYDRAULIC DRIVE SYSTEM ( PREMIUM RIDE QUALITY)

    • Compact Drive Cabinet.

    • 3hp Submersed Hydraulic Pump Motor.

    • Aircraft-Quality Steel Suspension Cables.

    • A small area outside the elevator hoist-way is required to accommodate the controller and the hydraulic pump unit. This area can be adjacent to the elevator hoist-way or in a remote location.

    • Another advantage to the hydraulic drive system is that manual lowering operations are very easy for those with limited strength or mobility. There is a manual lowering valve on the pump unit which allows the hydraulic fluid to drain from the cylinder, controlling the lowering of the cab in instances of power outages.

    • 1:2 Cable Hydraulic Drive. (1)

    • Two-speed hydraulic control calve provides smooth, comfortable starting and stopping. (2)

    • Submersed hydraulic pump and motor ensures quiet operation. (3)

    • Recommended pit depth:8″(203 mm). Shallower depths may be feasible. Deeper pits may be required for larger can sizes. (4)

    • System utilizes a heavy duty car sling which provides uncompromised stability. (5)

    2hp In-Line Drive Electric Motor.

    • No Hydraulic Fluid.

    • This a popular choice where space is a prime consideration. All of the drive components are mounted within the hoist-way except the controller which is located outside of the hoist-way for easy service access. Manual lowering is accomplished either by use of the standard manual lowering hand wheel, or by use of the optional battery powered lowering.

•Controller box c/w UPS can be mounted on any wall adjacent to the hoistway or in a remote location up to 50 ft. (15.2m) away from the hoistway. (1)

    • Direct drive electric motor located on top of the rail system. (2)

    • Counterweight frame. (3)

    • Recommended pit depth:8″(203 mm). Shallower depths may be feasible. (4)
